District Donuts Sliders Brew Restaurant Review:
A donut is a donut, but in the 21st century, if you're going to open a coffee and donut shop, you better up your game from medium roast and plain glazed. And so they have at District Donuts Sliders Brew. The donuts have more to do with fine pastries disguised as regular old donuts. And the coffee? Well, the coffee menu is longer than the food menu. Don't let the set-up put you off: you'll have to stand in a line that can be quite long, but once at the counter, you may select from kolaches as well as such donuts as the olive oil-glazed with crispy pancetta, maple-glazed with candied thyme, and even a pumpkin-and-cream cheese version. But first sample the pork belly or fried chicken slider. The "brew" in the name refers to coffee, but the beloved Stein's Market & Deli is just next door with a full selection of beer, and District allows BYOB.
