Don's Pomeroy House Restaurant Review:

This stately restaurant isn't out to break any boundaries, but it has carved itself a nice little niche as a fine dining destination. Lunch and dinner menus (for both the more casual downstairs pub and the dining room) offer appetizers like the classic shrimp cocktail, two-bite stuffed mushrooms and crab cakes with a lobster-corn relish. Much like Don’s sister restaurant, Don’s Lighthouse Grille, the bulk of the menu is seafood, including Nantucket scallops served with lobster mashed potato and seafood fettuccine featuring a tender black pepper basil pasta dressed in an herbal pine nut pesto. The downstairs pub offers soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps as well as live entertainment on select nights. The wine list is short. Desserts are comforting and include New Orleans style bread pudding.
