Evvia Estiatorio Restaurant Review:
Evvia Estiatorio is a Peninsula mainstay for power lunches and romantic dinners. Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll enjoy the aromas emanating from the wood-fired oven, where the lamb, chicken and fish are roasted. The appetizer plate includes a range of spreads, from roasted eggplant and yogurt-cucumber to cod roe purée, all served with stuffed grape leaves and crispy pita bread for dipping. Grilled items such as tuna or striped bass are nicely done, and the salads --- classic Greek, tossed greens or, better yet, the grilled octopus with olives and peppers --- complement the entrées. Oven-roasted Brussels sprouts, when available, is an attention-worthy side dish. Finish your meal with a honey-bathed phyllo dessert, a nice brandy or a glass of Commandaria wine.
