Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar Restaurant Review:
Begin with the classic shrimp cocktail, a modern rendition of a Caesar salad with fried capers and prosciutto chips, or crispy pork belly with cheese grits, which is really too rich for a steakhouse appetizer. The USDA Prime steaks are consistently well executed, and if you’re feeling indulgent, request your filet mignon topped with truffle-poached lobster meat with béarnaise sauce and caviar. The array of side dishes is noteworthy, among them creamed spinach and Fleming's potatoes (creamy, and spiked with jalapeños). Finish with New York-style cheesecake or crème brûlée, or a lighter berries and cream. Fleming's wine list is extensive and servers are knowledgeable as to its contents; with 100 labels poured by the glass, exploration is easy. The buzzing interior has a clubby feel, but the outside patio offers a quiet haven and a big stone fireplace.
