Fuller's Coffee Shop Restaurant Review:
Stepping inside Fuller's Coffee Shop is like dropping into a '50s photograph. A single, long Formica-topped counter snakes through the room, where customers perch on stools and waitresses in white aprons pour limitless cups of coffee from squat glass pots. Don’t even think about ordering a latté. Instead, choose traditional eggs and bacon, fluffy pancakes or chicken-fried steak, and enjoy reading a genuine black and white newspaper. For lunch, pick from a list of traditional sandwiches. Portions are huge, so arrive hungry. Bread and jam are homemade. Don't expect alcohol, or vegetarian or gluten-free choices. During the sunny season, the few outdoor tables enjoy a brisk turnover. In a concession to modernity, Fuller's now accepts credit cards, but cash is still required for tips.
