Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill Restaurant Review:
Redesigned as a British pub, the space formerly home to elegant Mia restaurant in Caesars’ atrium is now brash, brazen and welcoming with the look and feel of a public house. There may be burgers and steaks on Gordon Ramsay’s menu, but fare such as his specialty shepherd’s pie, rich with the flavors of slow-braised lamb, root vegetables and English peas and topped with cheddar mashed potatoes; and ale-battered fish ‘n’ chips dominate. “Classic Ramsay” dishes famous from his TV show “Hell’s Kitchen” include the beef Wellington and the seasonally offered sautéed Scottish salmon. A little number called the Knickerbocker Glory leads the list of desserts. It’s an irresistible layering of Chantilly cream, berry jelly, toasted cake, homemade vanilla ice cream, and chocolate pretzel bark. The bar is stocked with more than 26 beers on tap and 22 bottled options from around the world and local breweries. The cocktail list deserves attention but the “Dessert Cocktails” are bound to find a faithful following. Try Pure Dead Brilliant, which blends Jameson Irish Whiskey with Baileys Chocolate Cherry Irish Cream and chocolate bitters.
