Grandma's Thai Kitchen Restaurant Review:
This no-frills eatery has drawn Valley College students, police and locals since 1996. They like the traditional curries, comforting soups and other Thai specialties. To start, we recommend angel wings (deep-fried boneless chicken wings stuffed with minced meat and vegetables), jalapeños filled with ground chicken, and tom kha soup made with a coconut-milk base. In addition, there are wonton-wrapped shrimp, Thai fried rice with egg, and spicy catfish filets. It's recommended to order anything made with the Chinese-inspired, peanut-rich kung pao sauce. There is also respectable pan-fried green beans with curry sauce. Skip the house wine and get a Singha Thai beer or soothing Thai iced coffee.
