Grecian Gyro Restaurant Review:
Owner-chef Nick Koulouris, a native of Kalamata, Greece, came to Atlanta and opened this simple Greek joint in 1982. Today, there are five locations. Enjoy a tasty, prepared-to-order gyro to-go, or eat it on the premises. We like the loukaniko, a sort of Greek hot dog, which Koulouris grills before laying it carefully in a warmed puffy pita bread and slathering it with his own tzatziki sauce, feta cheese and grilled onions, all added upon request. Salads and sauce-bedecked Greek potatoes, the best alternative to fast food fries, all are treats. Don’t expect fancy digs, but do anticipate some of the best gyros in the city.
