Housed in one of the loveliest little Victorian hotels on the Jersey Shore, The Grenville Restaurant offers romantic dining. The wraparound porch with its dramatic draperies and colorful flower boxes is popular for lunch on sunny days, and the formal dining room was made for serious handholding. The menu has few standouts, but try the starter crab and avocado tower comprised of crab salad topped with avocado, mango and grilled shrimp, and the entrée chicken napoleon, a multi-layered, multi-flavored dish of eggplant, roasted red pepper and spinach, topped with melted cheese and served with whipped potatoes. Steaks and chops are featured from the grill. Service can be lackadaisical.
