Guajillo Restaurant Review:
Over-praised yet still popular, this small, rather tattered, faux beach shack-decorated restaurant has a strangely curtailed menu and only a few dishes that sound exotic or beguiling. Yes, we decided that the mole poblano (a Guajillo platter) will delight Mexican food fanciers, but the remainder of the menu is aimed at the Tex-Mex crowd, who yearn for bulky burritos and tepid tacos. It is a great place for hanging out with chums on weekends, but not worth a special trip just for the food. Even the service is remarkably slow, not a good sign for anyone in a hurry.
