Hank's Haute Dogs Restaurant Review:
With a move next door to a larger, freshly renovated space, Hank’s continues to dish up its signature “haute” dogs. The Portuguese sausage with mango mustard and pineapple relish is a favorite. The hugely popular lobster dog is now served every day. Daily specials include rabbit, boar, and Kobe beef versions. For a more traditional selection, opt for Hank’s “Fat Boy,” a bacon-wrapped, deep-fried hot dog topped with mayo, lettuce and tomato (consider it a BLT in a hot dog bun). Breakfast, or rather, “Hankfast," includes a breakfast dog (pork sausage wrapped in cheese and egg on a toasted sweet bun), breakfast fries (finished with cheddar, peppers and onions, a poached egg and hollandaise), and a coffee slush. There is finally more seating, including outdoor tables with umbrellas.
