The Happy Rooster Restaurant Review:
Once a boys club of a pub, The Happy Rooster has morphed into a neighborhood spot for all with straightforward cuisine and a first-rate burger. Think updated comfort food, from small plates such as fish tacos and fried oyster sliders to larger ones (offered after 5 p.m.), such as New York strip steak in a shallot-wine jus and baby-back ribs with a choice of chipotle peach or Kentucky bourbon sauce. Daily chalkboard specials are market-driven. The place still has that private club feel, with a lighter, egalitarian edge.
