Imperial Inn Restaurant Review:

Dim sum is the deal at the Imperial in bustling Chinatown, where families have been grazing on dumplings for more than 20 years. The large photos on the rear wall reflect a Chinatown that was, and there’s dark, lacquered wood, soft lighting and a calm that is missing in bigger, noisier places. The décor could stand a bit of an update, but the crowds who come for dim sum on weekends don’t seem to mind. The regular menu offers specialties such as a Phoenix roll of lobster, shrimp, crab, chicken, mushrooms and bean sprouts, rolled in batter and fried. Pork buns are especially good, same goes for the homemade dumplings. Imperial Inn also serves a pupu platter, so you have an idea that this is Chinese for American palates. Those who need more excitement will enjoy the sweet and spicy grandpa chicken, or spicy sesame noodles. Check with management for free or discounted parking.
