This local institution has bounced around from location to location in recent years and has reopened in this unassuming spot after a two-year hiatus. It is a beloved restaurant, and the regulars have rediscovered it for their favorites: bistec empanizado (comparable to a Milanese-style steak), ropa vieja, lechón asado (roasted pork), fricase de pollo and a great medianoche sandwich. Finish with flan at this simple little place that delights the old-timers and introduces the kids to the simple joys of Cuban cooking.
