About the restaurant & décor: Lalo's Mexican Restaurant is a fun place, especially on the nights when there’s live music and mariachis. The garden room is our favorite part of the restaurant, so ask for a seat there when you can.

Likes: Live music and a sizeable menu.
Dislikes: No reservations past 6 p.m. from Wednesdays to Saturdays nor 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Food & Drinks: Nothing much changes at this pleasant, lively and personable Mexican hot-spot (this is the flagship) with good food, a broad and interesting menu, and margaritas that will most certainly make you tipsy. The mole sauce is decent, so sauce up your enchiladas in style. Mexican shrimp cocktail is a favorite, too. Try the fried ice cream for dessert, which eats a lot better than it sounds. Numerous locations are in the city proper and surrounding suburbs.
