Le Saigon Restaurant Review:
At Le Saigon, it is not uncommon to wait in line for one of the 20 seats; the dining room is hardly fancy, but not devoid of style --- and it’s always spotless. And there’s nothing wrong with keeping it simple once in a while, and the prices down by the same token. Fast, friendly service will bring to your table à la minute phos, rice plates and generously portioned specialties like the bun Saigon dac biet (a bowl of vermicelli noodles topped with charbroiled beef, pork or chicken, a shrimp skewer, and an imperial roll) or nem nuong (wrap-your-own meat or shrimp rolls with rice paper or lettuce). Every table is well equipped with various sauces and condiments for customizing dishes to your own taste. Sautéed fried tofu with bean sprouts, ginger and peanuts is also available. No liquor is served, but there is strong Vietnamese coffee and green Vietnamese soybean milk with pandan leaf.
