Lederhosen Restaurant Review:

Set back on a leafy and peaceful West Village street, Lederhosen’s unassuming exterior belies the raucous, yet still family-friendly interior, where you’ll find 11 beers on tap (all of which can be poured into massive one-liter steins), 19 bottled brews, a long list of classic German dishes, and a spacious sun-lit room filled with long wooden tables. It doesn't quite matter that the décor is dominated by a kitschy floor-to-ceiling mural of the Alps that's not particularly fun to look at. It's all about the beer. The owners, refugees from the Hell's Kitchen Teutonic standby Hallo Berlin, might be on to something. If you have to eat, there are, of course, sausages, as well as smoked, peppered mackerel, wiener schnitzel and sauerbraten. But the goulash with spätzle is particularly tasty.
