Longtime devotees of Latin food join the newly converted to pack this upscale, welcoming spot. Sit down and order some sangría: it may take some time to peruse the menu. To start, we recommend the platter piled high with ceviche of halibut, mussels and calamari and topped with pozole and crispy corn nuts, or the flaky empanadas stuffed with a tender mix of beef, eggs and raisins. A tamal criollo promises and delivers a torpedo of masa spiked with chili and plumped with pork and olives. Mains include Peruvian classics such as lomo saltado along with rotisserie chicken meant to be shared. For dessert, try the chocolate mousse.
