The Lobby Lounge Restaurant Review:
Why not take some time off and linger in The Lobby Lounge of The Langham Huntington, Pasadena, enjoying a beautiful view of the San Gabriel Valley at its afternoon tea? A delicate selection of teas (Darjeeling, English Breakfast, Earl Grey) are served in signature “Langham Rose” Wedgwood teaware. The Wedgwood Tea ($62, $21 for children ages 4-12) is accompanied by elegant tea sandwiches (e.g. smoked salmon, cucumber, Asian pear with blue cheese mousse), freshly baked scones with Devonshire cream, fruit tartlettes and petits fours. The opulent Royal Tea ($85) also includes Champagne, a signature cookie and strawberries with vanilla whipped cream. Naturally, classical piano or harp music is part of the scene in this opulent space filled with antiques and fresh flowers. And on Sunday, a decadent Chocolate Afternoon Tea ($59) is offered. Before leaving, take a walk amid 23 acres of manicured grounds, and admire the Japanese gardens at this historic property.
