Lodge Restaurant Review:
If you can’t get to the mountains, let the mountains come to you. The wood-bedecked, rustic décor of this Williamsburg eatery offers a snapshot of, well, a lodge somewhere far from this Brooklyn locale. The menu is equally congruent, churning out hearty, comforting meals for a cold winter’s night. The pancakes and egg salad fell flat, but the veggie burger with Cabot clothbound cheddar is a hit every time, even with carnivores. So is the braised pork shoulder with horseradish potatoes, pork belly, and apple and fennel coleslaw. There’s a long list of nicely priced creative cocktails and plenty of beer on tap.
