Luka's Taproom & Lounge Restaurant Review:

This gourmet gastropub takes its Belgian-inspired grub very seriously, with a menu that includes painstakingly crafted charcuterie and oysters galore. Dozens of global beers on tap are a good accompaniment to pool, video games, or the live music and DJs that pack barstools every night. A full dinner menu is served without pretense, ranging from classics such as a dressed iceberg wedge or depth-defying mac 'n' cheese, to popping prawn and corn fritters with chipotle aïoli, and intense quail stuffed with house-made sausage and cornbread in a wine reduction that's the right balance of exotic and familiar. The basic burger is cooked to a juicy turn and paired with crisp french fries. The versatile kitchen can also crank out an herbed spätzle with buttery spinach, nicely cooked but marred by an overdose of salt. Try the house-made cheesecake for dessert. The "Sunday Soul Brunch" features Belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, and fried chicken with waffles.
