Masullo Pizza Restaurant Review:

Masullo is truly a neighborhood gem with its friendly service, handcrafted food and open dining concept. The large dining room is anchored by several communal tables; colorful artwork brightens the walls. The menu is simple but in no way lacking, as locally produced, seasonal ingredients take center stage. Starters include house-cured bresaola and a daily soup. Pizzas are divided into two categories: those with tomato sauce, such as one with Fontina, ham and peppers, and those without, like the mozzarella, oyster mushroom and bacon. Daily pizza specials are a good bet, including the fig, onion and blue cheese. Desserts are equally enticing --- think almond coffee cake with mulberries and strawberries and a marbled olive oil cake with vanilla ice cream and sea salt.
