The Matador Menu
Tex-Mex fare and a sultry vibe at this neighborhood hot-spot.
The Matador Restaurant Review:
The Matador’s dimly lit bar area (check out the tequila selection) is a welcome destination for a quick after-work drink. Later, the moody lighting, dark wood and large rustic wall decorations give this spot a sultry vibe that appeals to the 21-and-over group only. Reliable Tex-Mex fare includes shareable starters such as grilled stuffed jalapeño peppers, mushrooms sautéed in white wine and chipotle-garlic butter, and butternut squash quesadillas filled with caramelized onions and goat cheese. Braised pork shoulder and enchiladas verdes are among entrées. For a sweet finale, try the molten chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream and a rum-caramel sauce.
