Mioposto Restaurant Review:
Locals depend on Mioposto for everything from morning coffee to a nightcap, and for all their pizzas in between. Looking out over a grassy, tree-filled setting, Mioposto offers family-friendly dining served up with a bit of Italian soul. The aforementioned pizza is baked in a wood-fired oven, its cracker-thin crust serving as the foundation for toppings ranging from roasted potatoes and Fontina to artichoke hearts with red peppers paired with two cheeses. We particularly like the Molte Piccante, a meat- and heat-lover’s pie featuring spicy soppressata and chilies. One pizza serves two, if salads or starters are accompaniments. The Caesar salad is fine, and the house salad --- a mix of greens topped with caramelized onions with a choice of cheese --- is especially inventive and tasty. At lunchtime, try the locally-harvested clams, oven-roasted with white wine and herbs. A better-than-average beer and wine list includes Italian as well as local selections.
