Morton's The Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
The steak chain known for oversize portions also strives to fit the character of each location’s city. So the Louisville Morton’s décor boasts sporting artwork depicting horseracing at Churchill Downs and hometown boxing legend, the late beloved Muhammad Ali. Otherwise, expect the expected from Morton’s: steaks that overflow their plates; baked potatoes almost the size of footballs; asparagus that could be mistaken for green Louisville Sluggers. À la carte sides including sautéed Brussels sprouts, creamed spinach and Lyonnaise potatoes are portioned for sharing. Cocktails and wine list prices are correspondingly out-sized. Aged, prime beef is joined on the menu by lamb, veal and other meats. An excellent warm weather option is the chilled seafood sampler (shrimp, crab legs, lobster claws and more) accompanied with salad and a chilled bottle of a crisp white wine. Consider the signature Godiva chocolate cake with a shot of premium bourbon for dessert. Service is appropriately professional.
