Morton's The Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
Located downtown where the action is, Morton’s sits just across the street from the library and a couple blocks from the State Capitol. It’s also within walking distance of the Tennessee Performing Arts Center and the Ryman Auditorium. The traditional but easygoing atmosphere relies on a décor set with plenty of wood and leather, plus comfortable chairs. Private wine lockers allow locals to keep their favorite wines at the ready. Hit the happy hour with specially priced bar bites of mini crab cake BLTs and filet mignon sandwiches. On the main menu, steak is the star of the show, of course; it's carefully selected and seared with skill. Seafood options abound as well with salmon, shrimp several ways, lobster and crab legs. The substantial side dishes include creamed spinach and jumbo baked potatoes. The wine list is extensive, with many first-rate producers represented. For dessert, try the hot chocolate cake or a wedge of classic carrot cake.
