About the restaurant: Seasoned waitresses, steaks and martinis. Everything about Murray’s bespeaks an old-fashioned allure. Murray’s opened when dining out meant dressing up. It was a big deal. Today, the place still has its famous Silver Butterknife Steak. And there is no denying Murray's primacy when it comes to beef.
Food: The aforementioned steak is a hefty but heavenly double New York strip sirloin steak broiled in an oven custom-built for the job. When it's ready, your server carves it tableside with the pizzazz and precision of a master magician. You can expect to wait for the specialties of the house but there is always plenty of irresistible garlic toast handy and the appetizers, especially the walleye cheeks, are hard to beat.
