Mussel Bar & Grille Restaurant Review:

Chef Robert Wiedmaier’s Belgian restaurant offers mussels cooked in many different ways, and this Arlington outpost is a busy scene for bar-congregating and for those who hunger for the namesake morsels. Start off with French onion soup, Wagyu beef carpaccio, or char-grilled calamari plus treats from the raw bar, including raw oysters. Mussel preparations include cooked in wine, with Thai green curry, or Provencal-style with tomatoes and garlic. If you prefer something meatier, a stuffed pork loin or a brisket burger with smoked mozzarella might be just the ticket. Before checking out for the day or night, be sure to enjoy a dessert, particularly the lemon pudding cake. Expansive windows encircle much of the restaurant, and watching the passing scene may appeal. But bar seating will attract sports (and other) fans who can watch the overhead TVs while they check out the extensive Belgian beer list.
