Old Brick Pit Restaurant Review:
The best reason to come to this longstanding 'cue joint is the Brunswick stew, done in a classic country style, no fancy fixin's. Slightly peppery, it consists of meat, corn and tomato --- period. But we were disappointed in the ribs and chopped 'cue on our last visit, and the baked beans were lackluster. Although tender, the ribs lacked flavor and the bark was just plain tough and dried out. The chopped pork had little to recommend it as well. Good standard-style coleslaw and that stew saved the day. There's cobbler for dessert, and sweet tea/unsweet tea for quaffing.
