The Olde Pink House Restaurant Review:

Dating to 1771, the Habersham House was home to James Habersham, a significant citizen of the day, but by 1811 it accommodated Georgia's first bank, The Planter's Bank. Its old vaults today serve as the restaurant's wine cellars. Many of the dishes capture the flavors and traditions of Georgia's low country. Enjoy the addictive, pencil-thin cheese straws with a cocktail. Although we prefer the more complex versions of the she-crab soup that we've enjoyed here in the past to the one served currently, its creamy richness is perked up by a few drops of offered sherry. No need to drive all the way to Tybee Island for buffalo shrimp, as these are most tasty and exhibit just the right amount of spice heat. The signature dish is a whole flounder scored, grilled and topped with an apricot shallot sauce; it’s accompanied by Hoppin' John. Also on the menu are duck, chicken and lots of seafood. Desserts are very traditional, with the pecan pie topped with house-made vanilla ice cream. A global approach to wine buying creates an inventive and well-designed list, which includes a Georgia-produced Chardonnay from Frogtown Cellars. Espresso makes a good finish.
