P.F. Chang's China Bistro Restaurant Review:
A 40-foot-long Chinese mural is the first thing that catches the eye when you enter this splashy spot in upscale Fashion Island, but it's the scene and the friendly service that may bring you back. The updated versions of standard Cantonese dishes are prepared surprisingly well. We've enjoyed starters such as the salt and pepper calamari, the crispy green beans, and the chicken satay. For those with a taste for the spicy, the Szechuan beef or kung pao shrimp should do the trick, although we're partial to the honey shrimp and the sesame chicken. Banana spring rolls add a nice touch at the end of the meal. Wines are chosen to match the food, and many are available by the glass.
