The Palm Restaurant Review:
The Palm’s location in the heart of downtown and across from Bridgestone Arena makes it a prime spot for a bite before shows and hockey games or a night on the town. The classic brasserie-style dining room with a tiled floor and a dark, sexy bar feel hidden away from the nearby neon lights. On the menu, Prime aged steaks and chops are the name of the game, but there’s plenty of other delights among appetizers and seafood. Bacon-wrapped scallops, classic wedge salads, and an Italian section with veal and linguine with clam sauce and chicken Parmesan add to the variety. Vegetables like creamed spinach, goat cheese whipped potatoes, and Brussels sprouts with shallots and lemon zest are served family-style, so order accordingly. The wine list is decent, but hardly connoisseur-worthy. As for dessert, try the flourless chocolate cake with crème anglaise.
