Pat's Steak House Restaurant Review:
Pat’s Steak House is a Louisville tradition and a longtime local favorite. Décor in this traditionally styled wood-paneled restaurant, comprising a warren of cozy dining rooms, relies on framed racehorse photos and shamrock-accented porcelain reflecting owner Pat Francis’ Kentucky and Irish heritages. Manhattans arrive in heavy crystal cocktail glasses. Green-jacketed waiters bring sizzling plates of steaks to tables, and Francis himself, always clad in a white apron, moves through the restaurant making sure all goes smoothly. Focused on house-aged USDA Prime steaks, veal cutlets, grilled salmon, fried chicken and more, dinners include salad and choice of two sides. Have the house-made chunky blue cheese or Thousand Island dressings. The 32-ounce porterhouse will satisfy the linebacker in your family, but the customer favorite is the bacon-wrapped tenderloin filet. With parties of five or more, the sides (hash browns, creamed cauliflower, green beans, lima beans) are presented family style. A very serviceable wine list also is reasonably priced. For dessert, order the chocolate chip pie.
