Who would ever have guessed that so many Westerners would fall in love with this hearty meal-in-a-bowl? The plan is fairly simple, though some soup places also offer other dishes besides. But this group sticks to the basics: order your beef soup with a choice of meat combinations and in small or large bowls. Your order comes with chopsticks, soup spoon, and loads of veggies: It’s up to you to add the chopped chilies, cilantro, and chili sauce to your taste.
