Pig & A Jelly Jar Restaurant Review:

This tiny corner café offers an eclectic menu that shines with locally produced ingredients. Unfortunately, the food and service can be either delightful or perturbing depending on the day. In one dish, for example, it's not uncommon for chicken to arrive over-fried atop a soggy waffle, although when cooked with care, it’s crispy yet moist and the waffle is delicate (ask for the syrup on the side). The frittatas, like the "Mexican" with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, cheddar and roasted jalapeño cream, are bursting with flavor, but the accompanying deep-fried cottage fries are more akin to thick poker chips than the homey potatoes one would expect. There's no children's menu and coffee only comes leaded --- no decaf on the premises.
