Pita Cafe Restaurant Review:
Downtown shoppers and office workers flock to this affordable spot at lunchtime to savor falafel, hummus, spinach pie and tabbouleh. Vegetarians especially drop in for a quick bite and a raw juice drink such carrot or celery, as well as healthy smoothies made with fruits such as mango and guava. We recommend the shish tawook or chicken shwarma, with lentil soup or salad and a side of rice. But it's easy to fill up (happily) on a plate of baba ghanouj with pita bread and a fattoush salad, too. Seafood options include a swordfish kebab and a shrimp kebab, marinated and charbroiled. Those on a budget should opt for the simple hummus and tabbouleh pita sandwich; it's a lot of flavor for a small price.
