Prego’s serves big portions of familiar Italian dishes in a cozy room where the Christmas lights shimmer all year. The square-shaped pizzas, thin-crusted and crisp and generously topped with vegetables and meats, are a local favorite. Be sure to try a pie pelted with homemade Italian sausage. House-made meatballs---juicy and richly flavored---are a knockout and can also be ordered à la carte. Definitely worth a try is the chicken rollotini, stuffed with crab, shrimp, spinach and Provolone, baked and topped with brandy peppercorn cream sauce. The antipasti, served more like a chopped salad than the usual plate with slices of meats and cheeses, may throw you for a loop, but the varied menu and atmosphere makes for a good family night out.
