Primanti Brothers Restaurant Review:

No matter how much the Pittsburgh food scene evolves, there always seems to be a place for straightforward sandwiches and snacks. The owners have chained the concept, taking it outside of the state (the flagship location in the Strip District has the most authentic ambience). At issue is a huge sandwich with a stuffing of meat, oozing cheese, tomatoes, coleslaw and fries held between two slices of Italian bread. The greasy, salty and crunchy icon embodies one honest and very large bite of the “'Burgh experience.” Stop by this site in the heart of a college town for the half-priced happy hour: Sunday through Wednesday 5 p.m.-7 p.m. and 10 p.m.-midnight Thursday through Saturday.
