Red Chopsticks Restaurant Review:
Awkwardly situated in the center of a parking lot, this tiny Chinese café is a surprise, both for its friendly service and better-than-expected cuisine. Terracotta floors and lemon-yellow walls comprise the restaurant’s interior, and with its neon-red sign, it’s definitely easy to locate. Though the extensive menu offers predominantly dishes of the traditional Americanized-Chinese variety, their execution is more adept than most. Tangerine chicken is both crispy and comparably light, and airy dumplings are filled with moist ground pork. Chicken wings have a kick from a house-made blend of five spices, and shrimp pop with a sweet flavor, sautéed with snow peas and shiitake mushrooms. A limited selection of Californian wine and beer is available.
