Rioja Restaurant Review:
This snappy spot offers authentic Spanish cuisine and a wine list with globally sourced selections with a heavy focus on Spain’s wine regions. And the best news is that you don't need to wait for your paella to be prepared to order: it has already been started when you arrive. Tapas range from crispy calamari to piquillo peppers stuffed with codfish over a sauce of roasted red peppers and tomatoes, and the unlikely sounding chopped greens topped with pine nuts, roasted garlic, raisins and grated manchego. Large plates include flounder doused in the signature Romero sauce made with roasted bell peppers, tomatoes, spicy chilies and garlic. Any day is family day with menu items for children and their less adventurous palates. Grilled sardines with just a dash of lemon juice and sea salt is one of the low calorie/heart-healthy dishes. Service is friendly, and the crowd vivacious.
