Romano's Macaroni Grill is definitely the answer for harried parents looking to feed a passel of offspring and still have a decent meal themselves. While the kids happily crayon their way across the paper-topped tables, the adults can unwind over a surprisingly good house Chianti and watch the flames flicker in the fireplace. Try a pizza with smashed beef and veal meatballs, maybe a Parmesan-crusted sole, or perhaps a pan-seared veal chop with prosciutto, mozzarella and Marsala, and suddenly the world looks a whole lot rosier. It's not that the food is so all-fired fabulous, but rather that Romano's delivers a heaping side order of comfort with every entrée.
