Ruby’s Five Points Drive-In Restaurant Review:
Ruby’s diner, which serves classic American burgers and real ice cream shakes along with more modern fare, has brought back roller skating servers at this downtown Anaheim location. Located just a five-minute drive from the Disneyland Resort, Ruby’s Five Points is a fun food outing for both kids and adults. Only 12 parking spaces can be served by the retro-costumed servers on wheels, and you can only order up quick burgers, fries and chicken fingers from the drive-in menu. Inside, the full Ruby’s menu abounds, including affordable and hearty breakfasts. There’s also more contemporary and healthy fare at lunch and dinner, like salads and sandwiches, along with hot dogs, soups and chili if you're not in the mood for burgers. Although the chain is only a quarter of a century old, all of the 40 or so locations maintain the retro feeling and down-home service found at the original Balboa Pier location in OC’s Newport Beach.
