Ruth's Chris Steak House Restaurant Review:
At Ruth's Chris Steak House, the dining room is casual and comfortable with an air of sophistication. Small lamps on each table lend a romantic vibe, but the place is just as suited for a business meeting as it is date night. Steak and potatoes are on the menu, and diners can mix and match pairings of filets, rib-eye, T-bones and porterhouse steaks with mashed, baked, shoe-stringed or au gratin potatoes. Of course, there are the usual salads (lettuce wedge, chopped salad, or if you just can’t get enough meat, the steak salad) and vegetables (fresh asparagus, creamed spinach). Steaks are served on extremely hot plates, so the meat continues to sizzle and cook; consider this when indicating desired doneness. Save room for dessert, particularly the caramelized banana cream pie. Most of the wine selections come from California, and the majority are served by the glass. Half-bottle options also are available.
