Sake Cafe Restaurant Review:
Sake’s clientele seems to be well-heeled thirtysomethings with a yen for a little different experience, and they can’t be faulted for gravitating toward the more splashy-showy selections---the ones served in models of junks and their ilk. Not to imply that the vessel influences its cargo, but it seems the simplest sushi---impeccably fresh and handsomely presented---is Sake’s forte; it’s certainly not the beverage that lends its name to the place. Sashimi deluxe, sushi deluxe, or a combo plate; this is the way to develop a palate for the pristine product. But on a different plane, the miso soup is homey and satisfying, grilled house salmon or tuna are possibilities, and there’s even a lobster dish.
