Salsa y Salsa Restaurant Review:
From fresh flora behind the bar to the red orchids painted on the light pink walls to the gaudy orchid-shaped chandelier, this chic Chelsea eatery scores high for atmosphere. Throw in the low-lighting and large windows looking out on taxi-laden Seventh Avenue and you've got an invitation to linger for the evening. Not to be outdone, the food isn't so bad either. Start with the duck flautas, which are served in a sundae glass and stuck upright in layers of guacamole, sour cream and red salsa (the colors of the Mexican flag), or the chicken mole-stuffed quesadilla. For main dishes, the red snapper, served whole from head to tail and coated with cornmeal tomato sauce, is big enough for a fiesta while the simple enchilada de pollo is a treat you'll order again and again.
