Seasons Rotisserie & Grill Restaurant Review:

If Seasons Rotisserie & Grill reminds you of wine country, there's good reason---it was opened by Roger Roessler of Roessler Cellars in Sonoma County, California. With a barrel-vaulted ceiling and an exhibition kitchen, Seasons was long one of the best-looking and most consistently inventive restaurants in town; with increasingly stiff competition, it doesn’t stand out quite as much, but the fact that it’s mellowed with comparative age doesn’t mean it’s not well worth the trip. Seasonal produce splashes the menu with its color; in summer, griddled corn cakes with goat cheese, cherry chutney and arugula pesto are a sure bet, while cooler weather inspires the likes of pecan-crusted three-cheese chiles rellenos with butternut-squash coulis. Desserts hew more to the tried-and-true---tiramisu, crème brûlée and so on; lunch is likewise laid back, featuring favorites like a spit-roasted turkey club with thick, meaty slices of bacon and ripe avocado. Meanwhile, with its terrific view of Old Town and the Sandia Mountains, Seasons' rooftop cantina is the ideal spot to sample wines from the exhaustive list---including Roessler's own---alongside a few bar snacks that aren’t on the regular menu, like bison sliders and Asian-style pork ribs.
