Serafina Broadway Restaurant Review:
The whimsical David Rockwell design of the Broadway outpost of this New York City mini-chain belies the unadventurous menu. Choose from classic pizzas like marinara and margherita, and more unorthodox pies such as Nutella. Pasta is a more successful option. The gnocchi “di Mamma” are light and flaky enough to really seem homemade and the penne arrabbiata --- a spicy Roman staple --- won’t exactly whisk anyone to the Eternal City but it will satiate you enough until you can get back there yourself. For something different, opt for a piadina, a quesadilla-like “sandwich” crammed with prosciutto, mozzarella and arugula. A full bar and wine are available. Serafina Broadway has pet-friendly outdoor seating.
