Snappy Dragon Restaurant Review:

Everybody in Northeast Seattle knows “Fu-Ma” (chef and owner Judy Fu) for her graciousness and elegance, and also her noodles. Huge bowls of steaming soups and the jiao-zi bar, where boiled dumplings are stuffed with pork or vegetables, make waiting for take-out or for a table during peak hours the norm. Fu and her son David, who runs the front of the house, hail from Shantung province where wheat is more prominent than rice, and their menu features Szechuan, Hunan and Cantonese specialties. Attractions include the handmade noodles; a variety of clay pot stews filled with your choice of seafood, tofu or meats; and shredded pork served with delicate crêpes. Glazed eggplant arrives tossed in a sauce packing sweet and heat, while tea-smoked duck has a crispy skin. Want to take home some of Fu’s flavors? Versions of her hot oil and peanut and pot sticker sauces are available for "to-go" purchase.
