Star Pizza Restaurant Review:
We have a lot of patience when it comes to waiting 30 to 35 minutes for a Star pizza. You can have them New York-style thin-crust or Chicago-style deep-dish, but rest assured that these pies are distinctly Texas-style --- big, hearty and heavy on the toppings. If you’re a friend of meat, you should try the Starburst Deluxe, topped with ground beef, Italian sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms and green pepper. Slightly more health-conscious is Joe’s Pizza, made with sautéed spinach and fresh garlic --- especially good with the grainy whole-wheat crust. Or you can create your own pizza from the dozens of toppings. Star also has a limited beer and wine list and serves bounteous salads with homemade dressings, sandwiches and pastas.
