Steve's Pizza Restaurant Review:
Legendary in the North Miami 'hood for serving some of the best pizza to be found in Miami at 3 a.m. (4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays) this side of Brooklyn, Steve's keeps up a brisk pace day and night. You may have to wait if you want just a slice because the oven is filled with whole New York-style pies, including a 24-incher, earmarked for delivery and take-out. Though numerous wood-oven pizza joints turn out pies with more authentically Italian chewy-light, burn-blistered crusts, Steve's medium-thin sweet-sauced, classic Italian-American pizzas still satisfy. Other dishes, like eggplant Parmesan, are also homemade. Loud rock music, a friendly but curt staff, and a constantly clanging pinball machine evoke a sense of old-time New York pizzerias. A smattering of outdoor tables provides another dining option.
